Whale Watching

Whether in San Lucas or San Jose, visitors are treated to whale watching from January through April. Of the world's approximately 21,000 gray whales, an estimated 11,000 make this journey of over 10,000 miles to bear their calves and frolic in Pacific Coast lagoons to the north of Los Cabos. Many continue south, veering around land's end and into the warm waters of the Sea Qf Cortes.

A sample tour includes early morning pick-up at your hotel, a flight of 1 hour 15 mm. on a panoramic high-wing Cessna, 4 hours of whale-watching on a panga, snacks and drinks, a gourmet seafood lunch at a local restaurant, return and drop off at your hotel in the afternoon. (This tour operates only during whale season: Jan., Feb. and March.) Cost is about $360 per person.
