Local Transportation

From the airport – It takes about 45 minutes for a taxi or ground transportation to get into the city of Guadalajara.

Getting Around-

Most of the attractions are quite central and easy to reach by foot, but if you decide to take a taxi agree on a price prior to taking the ride in case the taxi is not metered. A very relaxed way to see the Guadalajara sights is by horse-drawn carriage. The 45 minute ride costs 20 USD and starts outside the Regional Museum.

There is a vast bus system covering the entire city of Guadalajara. Two kinds of buses serve in the city: First class has air conditioning; Second class is the no frills option and costs less. It is recommended that visitors to Mexico travel on First Class buses.

Travelling by train can be a very pleasant experience, but significantly more expensive
