In the neighboring village of Altamira, the patron saint’s day of Santiago Apóstol is celebrated on July 25 with dances, processions and agricultural and industrial displays.

Carnaval

There is no definite date for this festival, but it usually takes place in February. The streets fill with colorful parades of floats, people in mask competitions, musical bands, groups of people in costumes, masked dancers, and fireworks.
