Semi-tropical climate year around with an average of 300 sunny days a year and temperatures ranging from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius (73-93 Fahrenheit.).

The rainy season goes from late June through September or sometimes to middle October with precipitation usually in the evenings or nights. At this time of the year the countryside and the mountains turn brilliantly green with multicolored blossoms of trees and flowers.

In Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, casual and beachwear clothing is recommended for year round.

A light sweater for nights is recommended if planning to dine outside near the beach from November to April. After sundown the wind-chill factor will go down due to the sea breeze.
