Numerous tours are available to explore such areas as the rock formations of Los Arcos National Marine Park's underwater caves and canyons, secluded beaches with shallows teeming with tropical fish. Or discover the wildlife reserves of the Marietas Islands' complex marine ecosystem that fascinated the late Jacques Cousteau with its deep caverns and rugged rock architecture. Banderas Bay also has beautiful coral reefs, which attract scuba divers to its waters. Night dives can also be arranged for experienced divers. Tours vary from short trips to all-day excursions with meals, snacks, and drinks included. Most trips stop for lunch at one of the many pristine beaches that line the bay.
