Banks on Cozumel are typically open from 9 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. There are a number of banks on the island which will exchange currency. They are: Banpais (tel: 987/872-0318), Bancomer (tel: 987/872-0550), Banco del Atlantica (tel: 987/872-0142), and Banca Serfin (tel: 987/872-0930).

Should you need to exchange money after banking hours have ended, try the Promotora Cambiaria del Centro at Av. 5a S at Calle 1 S. The exchange rate is typically not as good as at the banks, but the exchange stays open from 8 A.M. to 9 P.M. Monday through Saturday.
