Beaches

Isla de la Pasión is located just north of the island of Cozumel. This island has small beaches where you can relax in almost complete privacy. The only sounds to disturb you are the waves breaking on the beach and the singing of the birds. You can only get there by boat.

Bonita Beach
This beach is situated on the windward, or eastern, side of the island. The waves are quite big, and the white sand is the ideal place to spend a calm, peaceful day. There are one or two restaurants, and the beach is a favorite among those wanting just to relax.

Playa San Juan
This beach is located in the Northern Hotel Zone. Calm waters allow for excellent snorkeling and steady winds provide ideal windsurfing opportunities.

San Miguel
San Miguel is the unique town in Cozumel Island where the ships arrived in a soft.

Playa Corona
Just outside San Miguel, rent some snorkel gear to check out the tropical fish and underwater plantlife.

Playa Playancar
This is the last undeveloped beach on Cozumel and used to be the launching point for divers and snorkelers exploring the Palancar Reef whose clear blue waters are home to a variety of colourful fish.

Playa Paradiso
Located East side of the island. Walk in the white sand for what seems like miles.

Playa Punta Chiqueros
Located along the Coastal Highway, this is a small protected crescent-shaped cove that is protected by the Chiqueros Reef.

Playa Punta Morena
The intense surf makes this beach great for surfing but not as good for swimming and sunbathing.

Playa Chen Rio
Along the costera Sur highway, these clear waters are protected by a large rock formation in the bay.

Playa Oriente
East side of the island. Walk in the white sand for what seems like miles.
